So proud

For those of you who dont know, me and my brother and dad coach Roy High softball. The ONLY reason I took the job 2 years ago was because I knew that this year would come and my beautiful niece would come up to play. She is here now and it is fun....kinda. Having three people to yell at her and correct every tincy tiny thing she does can be a hard life in high school. But I guess it pays off.

Yesterday MaCauley threw her first no hitter of her high school career. I swear I cant remember throwing that good for a long time after....if ever. This wasnt even against that bad of a team, Skyview was ranked 3rd in the state last week and she beat them 10 to nothing. I am just so proud of all the hard work and determination she has put in, not to mention all the crap she gets from having to play for her family. Poor girl.

Sometimes it is so hard to watch her pitch, I just want her to be happy, and I remember a lot of the time thinking that pitching was not such a fun game. I remember when she was little telling her that second base was a cool position and she should just stick to that....she didnt. It was crazy watching her play on the field that I played on 10 years ago, she even had this pony flip that I swear she just picked up yesterday. Maybe she is trying to be like me. I want her to be much better than that.

I am so proud of her. She is my role model.

I just read the article in the paper about her no-hitter that is way awesome. It sounds like you guys are doing really well, hopefully I can come and watch a game sometime.

Wow, that is so weird to think she is pitching in High School now! I swear it was just yesterday that it was you on the mound and that was me in the background playing shortstop! Oh how I miss those days...kind of :)

How fun! It makes me think back to the good old days of softball. Those were the glory days :) You are so lucky that you get to share your talents with those around you, and that you are a positive influence :)

Congratulations to you and McCauley. What a great thing for you guys. Hopefully she turns out to be as good of a pitcher as you!

What a fun time in your life right now. Surrounded by your family in something you love and being able to coach your very own niece. How exciting, yet stressful, much more challenging I bet, but like you said, so rewarding. I bet she loves having you as a coach, so please recognize how awesome you are, how fun you must be, and blessed you are to do something you're good at still! Luv ya lady!

I'm working on the lady bug cake. Have you googled it? I did last night, and found some cute ones.

Go ROYALS!! It is so fun to see that picture of that field, it brings back many fun memories. Sounds like she will be just like you! A kick-but pitcher who works hard! You rock! Keep us updated on the season!

Do we really have to admit that it was 10 years ago? I swear it all just happened...didn't it?

One another note, thank you so much for all the work you did for my shower! It was so much fun to see everyone and I love your house! The food was great, I was still thinking about it on Sunday and wanted more!

I remember before we even knew you, we called you flippy hair pitcher... but then you ended up striking all of us out so we bit our tongues! I bet she will be awesome if she is anything like you. Go ROY!!!
