soooo much to say....

This has been a busy week. It is all deserving of a mention so just be patient....or not, you can just pretend you read it. We all do it, I wont feel bad.

Thursday was a very traumatic day for Roy High Softball. It was just a practice for us, and they have been doing so good! (Ranked 4th in the state in the Trib...5th in the Deseret) It was cold (imagine that) and I was sick of doing nothing while everyone else was playing work ups. I asked my brother if I could play and he obliged an old lady. My dad was pitching to us all and I was up to bat. Anyone who has played ball with me does not remember me as a power house hitter so no one was concerned. Then trauma struck...I had two strikes on me (stupid change ups) and I was determined to hit the ball...but not right into the eye of my father! AHHHH! Of course I went a little nuts, I was bawling hysterically as my father was lying in blood. He is fine, but that may have been the last of my hitting days.

My dads first black eye and this is several days later and after much of the swelling had gone down.

Saturday was Addison's 1st birthday! So many mixed emotions for this. I cant believe she is one and I cant believe how wonderful she is, but I already feel like she is off to college and leaving me. I have mommy anxiety and I just feel like she is growing too fast!
Then Now

For her birthday we decided to go to the best place on earth, Disneyland? Nope! Baby Animal Day! I look forward to this day all year long and when it is finally here I as as giddy as a lamb on crack! So many pictures to show, but I will highlight a few of them:

Don't we all wish we could do that!

Crazy cute with the cow!

If you notice, Addi is trying to kill the poor chick.

Us with a cute bunny!

Duck kiss. If she gets the bird flu I will kill myself.

Needless to say it is the greatest day ever! I think every person in the world she go!

Then we had her birthday party! We had so much fun, so much food (thanks for the cilantro lime salad Lauren....YUMMY), and so many presents! I loved having everyone around. She was a great host and loved her presents. The cake was a little too intense for words and her mommy made a dumb red velvet cake with like 4 bottles of food coloring and she bawled when we didn't want to hold her immediately after! Sorry bugs, never again!

Her loot
Her favorite present. Feed her, hugged her. I told Ron she is ready for a bro/sis.
Singing! Are you all proud of my cake!
Post sugar rush melt down!
Happy first Addison, you are pure joy!

WOW, she is one already! That is crazy! It is so sad how quickly they grow up. Poor Stan! Always taking a beating. I saw him at Roy West a couple weeks ago. Same ole Stan! Yeah, we play at Roy but I would suggest watching another team play. Not only do I suck but our team sucks too! :) Oh well, I keep having to remind myself it is all for fun, right?

Your cake looks wonderful and it sounds like your party was tons of fun! I can't believe it's been a year, but I'm sure you have thought that a million times!

First of all, that wasn't a long post... been to my blog lately! It took me 3 hours to finish! LOL! Secondly, poor Stan... I call it passive-aggression Mand, or a Fruedian slip! Tell him that I hope he feels better! Thirdly, that cake!... are you kidding me? It's so cute... you never seize to amaze me! And lastly, little princess Addi, happy birthday beautiful girl. I can't believe she's a year old... I don't know what to think, but I agree with you, I feel like they are all already off to college! Love you so much.

I am impressed with your cake skills, we frosted one for Icky and put a candle on it. You are such a good mom. Time flies and soon they are telling you to get out of here.

Why the heck did everyone in our cooking class at BYU walk away with such talent and I still suck! I love your cake and I kind of want one for myself. Your little girl is getting so big. I love her and wish that I could meet her some day. I'm proud of you for being able to hit a ball that hard still, but I do feel for your pops. You know deep down inside he is happy you aren't a wimp!

that is so sad about your dad! I can't believe that happened.

Addi's birthday looked like a lot of fun! The time does fly and pretty soon she will be off to school. Not to depress you or anything. Kids are the best and enjoy every moment you can with them. They grow way too fast!

ps. great cake!!!!

All these April babes !!! How cute- she is a doll- Alright I want some of your hair bows- Ill pay you of course- but I don't know if you know that Presley has a condition that affects her hair so it is always going to be super short and then on top of that she has a nervous tick that causes her to pull out what little she has- so ya- long story, but i would love some of the head band bows that are big enough for the head of a 3 year old ( that sounds so weird !! 3 !! on saturday ) any way- let me know-

Um, you've lost 13 pounds? You're my hero!!! What have you been doing?

Do you ever have a day that you're not coaching? I want to get together before I leave for Minnesota (May 14). So when can you do it?

Um, and sadly I don't agree with your feelings on David Cook. He bugs me. He's a good singer, but he, his mannerisms, his face, his...cocky attitude (just a feeling), bugs the crap out of me. I don't have a favorite really, unless you count.
